About Me

I was born in upstate New York and was the youngest of three kids. As both parents were teachers, they decided the ‘idiot box’ was not to be allowed in our house. However, all three of us were given portable record players for our rooms. In 1965, my folks finally caved and begrudgingly accepted my grandmother’s old black-and-white TV into their home. With minimal antenna, it wasn’t much fun to watch. Until then, and ever after, I entertained myself with lots of different kinds of records: classical, show tunes, and of course, the 45s I bought with my allowance. Beatles. Stones. Beach Boys. Piano lessons began early and trumpet was added in the fourth grade. When I started on the guitar at 13, and being the rebel that I was, I decided I would teach myself! That led to many wonderful bands through high school, college and into my early 20s. Real life got in the way when I realized that I wasn’t going to make enough money in the music world and turned to my next love, photography. And oh! the irony! A 30+ year career in TV/video production ensued; shooting, lighting and editing. Around 2018 I moved on from all of that to focus fully on music and it’s been an absolute blast!

I’m really looking forward to writing, singing, playing, recording and producing for as long as I am able.
